They were sitting in silence and John met his gaze when he slid into a chair at the table. “So, let’s talk – you and me.” Rodney grimaced. “About what?” “Your father. Where is he?” “In the house I bought him in France. He’s required to stay there until he dies.” “You send him money.” “Yes and I’m not going to defend that choice. It’s something I did a long time ago and it’s an arrangement that has worked well for me for more than 15 years.
