Today, though it was hardly the plan, I wrote the final three scenes for What Might Have Been– it’s in the story “Ring of FIre” which I have plotted out in my head but I’m no where near ready to write. But the last three scenes just came to me in a flash of inspiration. I’ll admit I cried while I wrote it. Don’t worry– I’m a firm believer in happily ever after but gosh did I make John work for it.
I’ve come up with some great ideas for future AUs because of this series and I’ve got a lot of ideas jotted down for when I’m finished but a part of never really wants to finish it. I just want to keep writing for it forever but I do have a great idea for a second series with the same characters in the same universe– so we’ll see how that goes. My Sentinels of Atlantis series is bugging me and I’ve got a great idea for another AU that is a Sentinel/Criminal Minds/Stargate Fusion that will just not let me go at all.
Tons of ideas and really so little time. I’m also tempted to dig out my old SG1 fanfic and polish it up.
On other things– I think I’m going to take Vala and Daniel to Atlantis in the ‘Dark Places in the Soul Series’ and I’ve got a great story set up for John/Laura that will be heart breaking but lovely all at the same time. I definitely think the next few stories in that series will be very edgy. I have a half-written story that would fit somewhere in the middle– maybe just before Where Ever You Go which would be McKay/Lorne. It’s a very dark, angsty idea but I think it has a lot of potential.
Anyways–that’s it for now.
