Can we come in?” Patrick motioned them both into his office. “By all means.” He walked silently to his liquor cabinet and poured for them all without asking. “The only reason I haven’t already killed Kevin Jordan is that I can’t…

Moderation & Feedback

Reading Time: 2 MinutesIt’s true that I have a “positive” feedback policy and that I do screen the comments on this site. I do this because of the abuse I receive for writing slash not because I’m “over sensitive” or can’t handle critism. I don’t approve “critism” comments (though I’ve only gotten like 5 in the past year beyond people pointing out my grammar problems) because I don’t want the discussion that would result. I want this site to be FUN because I have fun with it. Having big discussions about politics (or whatever angsty thing my fic might inspire) doesn’t appeal to me AT ALL. I don’t require that anyone love my work. I just don’t want to hear about it on my own site if you hate it OR if you think I write badfic!, fluff, crack — whatever. I post my work for people to enjoy and if you don’t enjoy it– just don’t come back over here and read it anymore. Here’s the thing– at one point I didn’t even have comments enabled on my site. I opened them up because of email feedback. And the only reason I allow them now is because I feel like my readers have created a community for themselves AND I’m open to answering questions about my fic and future projects. I make jokes about feeding my ego with comments but let’s be real honest– you have to have a pretty damn healthy ego to create a site dedicated to your hobby,…

Writing Gay Porn in Public

Reading Time: 1 MinutesIt’s only a problem when your neighbors are VERY nosy. I’ve run off 3 people in an hour. The General and his reporter were here earlier and they were sitting on my left and finally one of them worked up the gumption to ask me what I was writing that I kept scaring off old ladies. SO, I told them and they laughed their asses off. OH- relationship totally confirmed for those of you who might remember them from before. Cause they asked about my website and I said they couldn’t read it which earned me the response (from the General) — “It’s not like we haven’t done it, sweetheart.” BLUSH. I’m working on finishing up A Lovely Agony by the way. :-). I think you guys will like it.

The Sentinel

Reading Time: 30 Minutes Sentinels of Atlantis: Dean Bates & Graham Simmons ~ Art by FanArts Series Title: The Sentinel Author: Keira Marcos Series title: The Sentinels of Atlantis Series Order: 13 Fandom: Sentinel/Stargate Fusion Rating: NC-17 (lots of Male/Male sex, violence, adult language & situations) Pairings: McKay/Sheppard, Grodin/Tyre, Bates/Simmons Warnings: No beta, Adult themes, extreme violence, and sexual situations. Summary: Bates comes online during a hostage situation off-world, Tyre and Peter take some time to themselves on the mainland, and John has an unexpected visitor. * * * * Dean Bates sat down on his footlocker in the large room the entire city used for mission prep. The men under him in the company had taken his potential change of status better than he’d suspected they would but then John Sheppard had worked hard to make sure he didn’t bring any assholes on the expedition. His Sentinel gifts were hovering on the edge of his mind. Graham had come online in his sleep over a week ago. Dean hadn’t been able to do anything but hold his Guide and talk him through the construction of his primary shield. It had rankled but he’d had no choice but to allow Sheppard and McKay to come to his quarters to help Graham. It had been relieving, however, that they’d included him as much as possible in the process and never made him feel like he wasn’t enough to help Graham through the event. Now, sixteen days later, he felt close and…
