Safari, iPads and iPhones

There has been a few reports of issues with Apple products and my site while using the native browser, Safari.

I honestly have no clue how to fix this “flickering” problem. Please try using Chrome and see if that fixes the issue.

Also, WordPress suggests emptying the cache on Safari: https://en.support.wordpress.com/how-to-clear-your-cache-in-safari/

In my spare time I write fan fiction and lead a cult of cock worshippers on Facebook. It’s not the usual kind of hobby for a “domestic engineer” in her 30’s but we live in a modern world and I like fucking with people’s expectations.

  1. Also, in the interim, if you resize the page slightly with a pinch, the flickering is isolated to the Twitter feed instead of on the entire page.

  2. Pinching like you zoom in/out fixes it for the page. It’s not a cache issue because I’ve only just got a fully restored to factory settings nothing on it iPhone back (all the passwords to remember. ALL THE PASWORDS)

But yeah, for now the pinch zoom thing is at least fixing the pages so you can read.

  3. I’ll try Opera for iPhone and see how that works.

  4. I’ve found that if I go to reader view on my phone it quits jumping. (I’ve got a 5, so I don’t know about a 6 or an iPad.) I’m actually glad to hear about this, I thought I was going crazy or my phone was breaking or something. 😉

  5. Clearing the cache does work

    • I just realized I was vague. I meant clearing the cache on my iPhone and iPad worked. I think the push out of iOS9 or 9.01 corrupted some cached files and they just needed to be refreshed.

  6. will there be a link to the blog talk radio with out the twitter feed on the main page?

    • Not currently. I’ll have to explore some different twitter feed options. The one I was using was the native Jetpack (by wordpress) option and it was fucking up stuff for Safari mobile users.

Every solution has a price to pay it seems.
