Just finished reading your sentinel story for i believe is the third time. I really liked it. Thought I would send you some feedback since i didn’t the first two times i read it. Silly of me not to.
Also saw your note about suggesting fandoms. I have two to suggest. Been trying to get some really talented writers to come join the fandoms in hopes of gettting long angsty stories out of em…hehehe.
Two fandoms I recommend are Firefly and Chuck. I really got into both fandoms because of the actor Adam Baldwin. He is so hot! And a good actor. In Firefly you have alot of pairings I personally like River/Jayne and Mal/Jayne. Jayne being the character played by Adam Baldwin.
The only pairing in Chuck that I enjoy is Chuck/Casey, Casey being the character played by Adam Baldwin. They are both good shows and below are some links in case your interested.

I’ve spent many hours enjoying your writings, and some parts I return to over and over as ‘pick-me-up’ when the rain falls (literally or not). Thank you.
If you’re in the market for a new fandom, why not check out one of the oldest? Star Trek fanfiction has been around longer than the internet, and since the Reboot movie it’s more interesting than ever.

I would like to recomend my new passion – Supernatural. I tried to watch it when it was first on, but it didn’t catch my fancy. Then last year they added a new character, an angel named Castiel. He rescued Dean from hell and seems to feel that Dean is his protect. The dynamics between Dean and Cas are very hot. One of the running ‘jokes’ is that Castiel doesn’t seem to understand personal space and he’s always standing less than a foot away from Dean. Like I said, VERY HOT.

Buffy – for the sheer potential and the very fact that I think that my favorite character Xander was overseen in the show. There’s a lot of hot guys and Xander once tells his whitchy friend to ‘gay me up’ in one of the episodes. Spike, who is a vampire in the show, lives with him in his basement for a while – tied up in a chair. This is only one of the pairing possible and I hope you will give the show a chance (if you haven’t seen some it before). Mal from Firefly is a bad guy in the 7th season of this show (freaked me out the first time I saw a picture of the guy). Well:P up to you – can’t wait to see what more you’ll write (and when you will update you SGA longer SGA stories).

I love NCIS and LA NCIS, and I Like Ryan Wolfe’s character from CSI: Miami, also Castle is another good one. Some other good ones would Mike/Henry/Vicky (from Bloodties) and Hellboy (Red and John)

If you have ever seen the show then may I reccomend Due South? Its been around a very long time but it never loses its appeal. It has an archive at squidge.org with a couple of thousand stories. My favorite pairings are Fraser/RayK Ray/Ray and RayK/Turnbull.

You mentioned on fanfiction.net that you used to write star trek, what about writing some kirk/spock or some amanda/sarek those pairings have a lot of potential (both tapped and untapped) I think you could really write some awesome ones
oh! what about xena fics, I’m really fond of Joer/Ares and Cupid/Strife (god of mischief).

I never watched Xena so I couldn’t write that with any kind of skill. I am tempted by Kirk/Spock. I’ve never slashed them and of course, I’m tempted all to hell and back to do it. Still, if i fell into that fandom I’m afraid I’d never come back– I feel the same way about Farscape. I adore Farscape too much to write fic for it. I’d be obessed forever.

Love, Love Farscape! I would totally love to see you write Farscape… I wouldn’t even care what the pairing is. There just isn’t enough Farscape fanfic out there and it is my favorite show of all time.

There’s an author on FF.net and Wraithbait, race-the-ace, and they’ve been writing both SGA and this excellent NCIS:LA slash fiction, the second with G/OMC.
Sam features prominently, but is not in the relationship by any means. Good luck with the G/Sam search.

I had a dream that you had written a fic about NCIS:LA crossing with Stargate and SGA. Hetty had some connection with the political powers that be, and Callen ended up with Matthew. I know it sounds corny, but it really happened. The alarm went off this morning, and after hitting the snooze I dreamed I was reading fic, and it had to be yours because it was Matthew. Unless you’ve given someone else permission to write about him? I checked as soon as I had access to the computer, and while I wasn’t really surprised to see there wasn’t a Callen/Matthew fic I was sorta sad. Maybe someday.

I love your “established” universes and am a new convert to the NCIS fandom. Having read everything you’ve posted on your website MIULTIPLE times, let me wipe the drool from my chin and add my vote for you to write for the NCIS characters. Just the THOUGHT of what you could do with Jethro and Tony makes me crazy! I would love to see them (and Ziva, Tim, Ducky, and Abby) come alive in your writing.

Well, maybe you can adopt. whenever I think about it I prefer that option because it is the only way your Child can be sure they were wanted & not a surprize. You are chosen by them for god sake, & on the other hand I’ve heard that adoption seem to remove some sort of blocs cuz’ after they adopt some people who had no luck with giving birth get pregnant.
I hope this isn’t anoing.
as for a fandom I’d love your take on the “My Fair Captain” ‘verse by J. L. Langley. it’s basically a gay trashy novel that is a Regency in Space It’s very well written. it also has more, “The Englor Affair”. I can only imagine what you will do when the slash is canon.

I was just scrolling through your comments to see what shows were being suggested etc. I hate to but in but I thought I’d offer to answer any questions you might have about adopting if you were ever interested in it (I understand that some people are not and have very negative reactions and ideas to it so no big deal if you would never consider it). I was adopted as an infant and I have a pretty decent adopted-people-pool to pull from. I can’t answer all questions…but I might be able to offer some from the adoptee’s pov and some of the things that are typical.
I do hope whatever hardship you’ve been going through settles, though. That is always preferable.

since we are talking other fandoms and crossover fics, let me just add my $.02, please. there is very little of it, but one author has written a crossover between SGA and Eureka. McKay comes *back* to Eureka for a few months to work on a project and Sheppard comes with. They have a house and set up housekeeping together. McKay there is in his element. more minions to torture and even some who can keep up, like Henry. and Sheppard and the Sheriff bond, as the only 2 men in town who drink beer and watch football and would like to do this on superbowl sunday, rather than have a robot war. these particular fics are really well written; there is little sex, the point of view is the sheriff, and watching John and Rodney interact is just the best. and its funny.
i so want more of this series. and this crossover.
i did find a few small stories which incorporate eureka, but not much. there is a short multi crossover fic, with eureka, sga and the pretender.
not written but can you imagine ms parker on Atlantis. lol imagine rodney meeting ms parker. shepard protecting rodney from ms parker. teyla kicking ms parker’s ass? ronan and ms parker? wonder if there would actually be any talking with them, or would there just be sex?

Pretender fan fiction was the first fan fiction i ever read as an adult. i remember how dumbfounded i was when i found it on the web back in the 90′s. long before there was much out there other than Star Trek and SWars, of course. but it lent and i guess lends itself so well to fanfiction since there are these established and messy relationships and then the-attraction-that-should-not-be between Ms Parker and Jared. and the joy of reading a story that focused more on the relationship then the show did And the best part of all; they actually get it on!! i remember in one of the stories they actually had kids~ and yet, she was still chasing him for the Centre!! LOL
I saw where the actor Micheal Weiss was in a play in Chicago recently. and i think there was a mini Pretender reunion of the actors, for a convention or something? and i guess he has openly come out as gay. Ms Parker is all over the tv. and yes, everytime i see the actress show up, its Ms Parker who has entered the room!!
Do you watch The Big Bang Theory on CBS?? I keep waiting for them to ask David Hewlett to guest star on it. Play himself, play Rodney… just want him on the show. Can’t you see him as a visiting professor to their University and being smarter than Sheldon? Sheldon would be more Rodney than Rodney!! and the 3 other guys would just be in awe of Sheppard, his coolness, his way with the woman (Penny would be all over him and he *wouldnt see it coming*. I can see them trying to emulate him. LOL. and you know Sheppard would just love the comic book store!!
On a completely unrelated note, have you seen the ebay sales for Stargate goodies?? i myself have bid on a piece of the stairs. But with my bid, i let go any fantasy that there will ever be a SGA movie. You can break down the sets. you can put them in storage. you can sell of the costumes after they have sat in storage for years. actors change and they can just sew more. the SGA uniforms werent exactly from “The Runway” show. but if you break down the huge staircase that is one of the main focal points of the gateroom and then sell of the parts? well, you arent going to be needing it again, are you?

No– I haven’t been to ebay to buy and I won’t. You’re right– we aren’t getting a movie and it’s just one more FUCKING lie the told us about SGA. They said they wouldn’t cancel it to do Universe– two days later it was cancelled. They said they would do movies and now they’re selling off pieces of the set. Just fuck them. I’m so serious about that. I have Universe on my DVR but I haven’t actually watched a single episode. I’m not sure I ever will.

For SGA i was awakened at 4 PM for watch the show, for SGU sometimes i wait 2 weeks to see a single episode, isn’t my cup of tea, missed the gate, the ships and a crew and i’m disappointed by the characters and the ship, the gate, we don’t see it so much, no much stargate so, it’s a copy of voyager and bsg for me.
Do you like vampire fanfics keira ? do you think about write one someday ?
If you like vampire show, try True Blood.
You can try NCIS (love Gibbs/tony so much) Numb3rs (love the pairing Colby/David, the banter between them is so good) Castle (it’s too much het but good and Nat fillion is amazing good in it).
After there’s supernatural, you can slash castiel/dean (Dean/Sam is to creepy, come on they’re bro for god’s sake lol).
Due South is very good and the slash is fun.
X-files is a classic and always a good fandom and show to play.

One fandom I’ve not seen recc’d here: “White Collar”. Neal Caffrey’s a HOT con-man/forger/thief who’s now on a conditional release from prison, supervised and working for the FBI agent (Peter Burke) who caught him. He’s “using his super-powers for GOOD”, helping solve crimes instead of committing them. Other characters include Peter’s wife Elizabeth, who’s so charming, funny, and bright that any “slash” pairing between Neal and Peter will HAVE to include El and be a “threesome”. The most recent episodes have all had scenes that can only be described as “FanGrrl Catnip”… SO much subtext! *purrr*
I’d LOVE to see what you’d do with it… but I also want the next stories in your “Sentinels Of Atlantis” and “What Might Have Been” universes.
Oh, and I’ll second the others who recc’d “NCIS”. I’d love to see what you do with Tony and Gibbs.

Have you ever considered Criminal Minds? I love all of the characters, especially Spenser Reid. I think that you could do a lot with them. There is another old and short-lived tv show you might try. Houston Nights was the title. If you can find it. I agree with the NCIS Gibbs and Tony. I would love to see that.

I had what I think is an awesome idea, a sequel to this where they adopt the child guide rodney after something happens to his parents and sets him online, he has all sorts of drama and meets a teenage or slightly adult john (just before, after, or on leave from the airforce) and the meeting triggers him to come online! I would LOVE to see you write it or a version of it… whether it contains atlantis or not…. so what do you think?! yes, no, maybe, hell no….

While I welcome anyone to do AUs of the universes I create– I wouldn’t want anyone to claim they’d written a sequel to something I’d written. Mostly because I like to leave myself room to write sequels to almost everything I write whether I intend to do it or not.

I discovered your site several months ago and I’ve nearly read everything here. I just love your SGA fic and I’m thrilled whenever there’s a new update. As for suggestions of fandoms that could benefit from your writing, I can add a vote for Supernatural. Also, and oldie but goodie, are you familiar with Highlander? I wouldn’t be able to hold back the fangirl squee if you wrote about Methos. I can just picture him in your Ties that Bind ‘verse. So many possibilities!

I was watching Highlander this weekend, and the original Methos episode was on. It wasn’t the best Highlander ever but Wingfield is oh so yummy, and the character has so much unrealized potential.

The Awakening was great! I came across it once by accident and enjoyed it very much. I wanted to read it again a couple of months later, and couldn’t remember where I had found it the first time. I joined the Sentinel ficfind community on Livejournal so I could find your story again. I actually got the answer within ten minutes! I liked The Awakening so much that I hunted it down. Smile. Great wrting! I liked how Jim and Blair seemed destined for each other. I liked how Blair waited for years for ‘his’ Sentinel, rather than settle. I liked how Jim woke out of a sound sleep and crossed a country for Blair. I enjoyed the fact that they were equal partners to each other. I liked how they worked together to support and protect their people. Wonderful story! I’d like to hop on the recommendation bandwagon. I have recently started reading the slash pairing of Derek Morgan and Spencer Reid from the CBS television show Criminal Minds. There aren’t many stories featuring them (the ones I’ve read were on fanfiction.net), but I thought they made an interesting pairing. The big buff tough but smart guy paired with the frail looking but cute and highly intelligent genius who has managed to use his brain to save the day more than once. I would love to see what you might come up with for this pairing.

While I have seen some Pretender/SgA cross they all lack something I think it is because they all try to put either John or Rodney into Jarod’s place and it doesn’t work the writers should have developed their own characters in that mindset. The ignored a great big plot devise in my opinion, that of Mrs. Parker who was murdered trying to get Jarod out left Jarod for last she had already gotten hundreds of kids the Centre was ‘Studying’to safety. Such kids are in hiding from the Centre to this day. When you concider thislittle fact you realise while ROdney wouldn’t work beause he revels in his intelligence crowing it to the four winds from one length of the universe to the other, John is a perfect fit, awkward, introverted to a degree and above all hiding just how smart he is.

God I loved Airwolf at least the first three seasons the fourth without the old characters not so much.
Archangel and Hawke god they were were such dictomies, we use each other they both claimed, were not friends they both claimed yet both go rescue each other at the drop of hat.
Add in Stingfelloew Hawke’s extra sensory flashes when someone attached to him is in danger and the plots that were possible pity their isn’t much fiction around and it tends to be gen or hetro .
a recormenation for good Airwolf fic that even had a Sentinel cross as the main base that is simply breathtaking in the way the stories blend with other shows including Stargate and Ghostbusters try

I just read the Awakening again and yes I can see six sense Sentinels being a backlash of the death of a Wolf Guide. Maybe because I just read Vathara stories as well it solidified. Five Sense Sentinals are territorial once they have a Guide and probably don’t like travelling far from it these are Prides. What if Six Sense Sentinels are the travellers the Hunters and Judges of Sentinel stucture they have a home den so to speak but travel as needed, in that case the that case the wagon or ship used for the traveling would be the travelling den these days a plane or yes a helicoptier or when you think of it Atlantis is a ship so of cause John’s saying its his
You also mentioned a Wolf Guide dieing in New York as the last recorded incident like that when was that, you have to wonder how many Six sense sentinels that produced I doubt many would exist at once and they probbay take something that drastic to trigger them and they probbay scare the heck out of normal sentinels as they feel bith Sentinel and Guide so they both see them as rivals and someone to protect all at the same time

Glee. Something you might be interested in is Glee. Glee’s is about a high school Glee club. I think that the show is awesome. The plot line on Imdb.com is, “A high-school Spanish teacher becomes the director of the school’s Glee club, hoping to restore it to its former glory.” It’s also called “A biting comedy for the underdog in all of us.”

Another vote here for Due South, and one for Glee as well. If you like pairings and slash, there are many possibilities in both of these fandoms. Due South has one pairing – Fraser/RayK – that is far more popular than any other, but many of us find another pairing or pairings to be more pleasant and fun, so don’t let the aggressive Fraser/RayK shippers try to talk you into that pairing before you’ve made up your mind. Watch the episodes first (they’re all on YouTube) and decide for yourself. Due South is usually a friendly fandom, so whatever you choose, you’ll probably be welcomed.
And if you’re not into pairings or slash, it’s fun just to focus on the great friendships in both Due South and Glee. I actually prefer the friendships to the romance/possible romance (hence my name).

OMG – I think I am speaking for everyone when I say you are a Goddess – the beautiful stories so far and now Star Trek 2009. I check the site every few days and do a little happy dance when there’s a new post. I’m a fan of Numb3rs. I haven’t watched much in the past couple of years, but then college has a way of eating my time. I however adore the very rare pairing of Charlie Eppes and Ian Edgerton.
Charlie (David Krumholtz) is a genius math professor who consults for the FBI.
Edgerton (Lou Diamond Phillips) is a sniper and tracker for the FBI. He is considered the #3 sniper in the country. He shows up about once a season but is always epic.

One of my favorite oldies but goodies fandom would be Forever Knight. It only lasted 3 seasons but it was a great vampire cop show. I would also vote highly for NCIS. Have you ever considered The Mummy/Mummy Returns fandom? I love this fandom, but good slash stories are hard to find in it. Either the characterization and development is off or the author failed to do a decent amount of research into the time period and culture.
I love your writing and would love to see what you would do with Ardeth, Jonathan, Rick, and Evelyn. Oded Fehr as Ardeth Bey is absolutely yummy. I prefer Ardeth/Jonathan & Rick/Evelyn because Rick/Evelyn are so clearly in love with each other in the movies. I prefer slash, but I don’t like to break up *happy* het couples to get it.
Your Sentinels of Atlantis series has already inspired me to jot down some bits and pieces for a Sentinel!Ardeth/Guide!Jonathan, Sentinel!Rick/Guide!Evelyn, eventual Sentinel!OMC(Ardeth’s youngest son)/Guide!Alex story. Sadly, it will probably never be fully realized because I simply am not that disciplined a writer.
But it made me want to see what you would do with the Mummy universe.
Anyway, love your writing and looking forward to reading the next installment.

I think you’d write Arthur incredibly, because he and Eames’ character do have military backgrounds and you write those the best that i’ve seen…plus Eames has this habit of just being really snarky and hilarious.

I don’t know if you’ve heard about it, but there is a British BBC show called Merlin that is basically the story of Merlin and Arthur when they are young (early twenties). Merlin and Arthur have amazing chemistry together, I can totally see them falling in love.
Merlin arrives at Camelot but he has to hide his magic from everyone,– including Prince Arthur, because magic is punishable by death, a sentence that Uther Pendragon enforces without remorse.

So I’m back! and I’m now into a totally unappreciated fandom, Avatar slash ( yes the blue kittycat people not the anime) for some reason I really dig Jake/tsu’te fics. there are about 5 good ones and none of them is any kind of length. please please please think of bringing your awesomeness to this small lonely fandom!!!
… of course after you recover from being broken and catch up with real life, and maybe possibly update some of your other AWESOME fics…..
p.s. I think you should also think of doing a NCIS crossover of some kind, I know you don’t want to copy too much from xanthe but I think it can cross very well with so many other fandoms that she doesn’t touch!

I saw a recommendation for your ties that bind series that piqued my interest so I tracked it down. It’s now about five days later and I’ve read just about all the fic on your site.
I pretty much loved every story including the ones I was not sure I’d like. I have certain issues about some character pairings that make it hard to read anything that has them as a couple even when they’re background characters. (ex. Daniel/Sam, I see their relationship as too much like siblings and my brain won’t let me see them as a couple)
I was also surprised at how much I love Tangled Destinies because I’ve never really been comfortable picturing Kirk/Spock. Their relationship felt so organic and flowed so well that it never bothered me.

I have that problem with some pairings. I can’t read John/Teyla at all. And I won’t touch John/Elizabeth with someone elses computer because she’s so MATERNAL to him and McKay that I can’t see her with either of them. I’m not particular fond of O’Neill/Jackson though I’ve written them as a background couple once. I much prefer Carter/O’Neill to be honest. And I like to pair Vala with Daniel or Cameron without much of a difference. I don’t enjoy seeing Beckett paired with anyone. He’s just asexual to me. I can’t explain it.
I prefer Rodney with John but sometimes I can stomach Lorne/McKay and I’ve written that in the past.

I’m just going to suggest Without a Trace here. It’s a show following an FBI team investigating people who go missing for various reasons, and I totally slash Danny/Martin. Danny is Spanish, which is hot as hell, has a troubled background (abusive father, long years of foster care after his parents die, and he’s a recovering alcoholic) and while he doesn’t like Martin at first sight, they quickly grow very close. Martin is the FBI Director’s son, but has a difficult relationship with his father and insists on not accepting any favours at all from him. He seems perfectly nice and bland at first sight, but in the course of the show it turns out he has an edge. They’re a heady mix.
(Until, of course, Agent Sexy Stripper pops up, who is Spanish too and was practically tailored to be Danny’s love interest.)
Anyways, even if you don’t ship anyone, the show is nice to watch.

- If the guys were in the TTB series who could be the dom and the other the sub and in which house ?
Same question for the sentinels who is guide and who is sentinal ?

McGarrett says Sentinel to me.
I can’t imagine either of them in a submissive role however. If I had to write it…I’d make one of them a switch and give them a third OC to play with.

Yeah, looking at the sentinel the original series we can see some same characterization of the personnages. I look at Steve and think at Jim Ellison, specially when they’re in Rambo mode

I can see Steve as the same house of John and Danno at the De Sade, he’s a lot like Rodney as some point, diva and all.
Not my first thought, you don’t see any of them as a Dom, you have to explain i’m intrigued by your respons.

I see Danny as a switch. I could probably write Steve as a Dom but the circumstances in canon make the scenario iffy. Especially when you take into account laws regarding children and submissives. Rachel would have to be a Domme and I think Danny would have requested the removal of his collar at some point provided he had contact with his kid. Not certain. I’d probably be tempted to eliminate Grace as a character but then there would be no reason for Danny to be “stuck” in Hawaii.
I’d much rather write them as Sentinel/Guide than Dom/submissive.

What percentage of the population isn’t dynamic? What percentage is monosexual?
Since two Doms could marry if they wanted too, what about switches and or subs? I suppose it would depend on the laws of each country. The conflicts that could arise, because of dynamic issues could be very interesting. Custody rules would probably vary as well – various countries as well as the differences between just dom and collared sub and dom and sub with the license thrown in. I wonder if Danny and Rachel had a pre-nup? Thanks to both of you for the interesting thoughts.

I love your work!
Since folks are putting up suggestions, I’d love to see a truly great Sam Hanna/G Callen fiction (NCIS:LA). I love Tony/Gobbs (NCIS), but there’s already a fair amount out there. There is almost nothing of Sam/G and personally, I think they have a lot of potential.
No matter what you write, however, it’s sure to be good!

I really think you could do a lot in the fandom of the new Hawaii Five-O. Steve and Danno are so hot! And would be hot together… *drools* I’ve read a lot of fics on FFNet already, but you could certainly add your touch here.

Have you seen White Collar? The second I read TTB my brain couldn’t stop spinning with visions and dreams of Peter and Neal as Dom and Sub in a BDSM ‘verse. It’s one of the slashiest shows on TV with bondage and D/S subtext (at least if you’re wearing my slash-tinted glasses). I’d love and worship you even more than I already do if you ever decided to write in it, in any genre. While there is alot of good fanfiction in the fandom it’s new enough that there isn’t alot of really long, detailed, plot-centric fic yet (yes, I appreciate you for way more than just the amazing! buttsex! porn). Have you ever read the Arizona series by Serperis? I think its actually called The Atlantis Project. Its an adorable series about Assassin! John, being sent to kill Rodney, but epically fails by falling in love with him. Favorite line out of the whole series “This is why John should be supervised when playing with other former military boys. Next thing Rodney knows, he’ll wake up and John will have bazookas and crates of grenades and God help them all, nuclear weaponry stacked around him, and then Rodney will have to exile him to the floor, which will suck for their sex life so much. ” I was rereading it again and it reminded me a little of your writing a bit.

Its a really good series. The only bad part of it was that she gave it a very open ending and I dont think she plans to write any more for the series. But I thought it was a good ending all the same. I thought it was something John would believably do.

Hi Keira,
Have you ever seen or thought of writing in the Generation Kill fandom? If you’re unaware it’s a HBO miniseries based on a book, based on a Rolling Stone article from a reporter who rode along with some Recon Marines at the beginning of OIF. Stories in the fandom make some people uncomfortable because it could be considered RPF, which I understand, but there’s enough disconnect for me with seeing actors as these “characters” that it just seems like another movie and I don’t find it so squicky. If it is something you’d be uncomfortable writing in, I get it, but you should definitely take a look at the series. It’s full of so much completely politically incorrect alpha male posturing, it’s ridiculous, but I have to admit I did laugh a lot despite how completely offensive it can be. Being a war miniseries it also has lots of violence and pretty men. Personally, I’d love to see some of the guys in Bravo make their way into the Stargate verse, Nate could do with some good senior officers, Brad could bond with Teal’c or Ronon about their warrior spirits, and I can only imagine what theories Ray would come up with, I’m betting a lot of them would have to do with sex.
