“Peace is not the absence of war, it is a virtue, a state of mind, a disposition of benevolence, confidence, justice.”

  1. This is going to be great. I’m so happy to read Sirius!lives stories. He got a very raw deal in canon — not that others also didn’t suffer. Sure he was a bully (when he was a child), but Severus Snape was an adult bully in authority to defenseless children. Dumbledore was a bully, too.

  2. Shadow Lighthawk

OMG you cast Hugh Dancy as Zir! I have overdosed on delight and am dead.

  3. So looking forward to losing myself in one of your stories. You have a wonderful way with words. Thank you for sharing it with us.

  4. So i just read this, and OMFG Kidharry fic might be my new favorite thing ever. LITERALLY giggled at precocious Harry! I’m really excited to have been able to read this, as always awesome job! and I adored reading Armand Deering. Thank you! Have a lovely (whatevertimeofdayyourreadingthis) day!

  5. OMG! OMG! OMG! How did I forget about Quantum Bang!! Does happy dance as work productivity falls to zero.

  6. This is soooooo good – love it

  7. Enjoying this so far! Note that while Patrice is a feminine name in English, I was very confused when encountering Patrice Delacour because it’s a masculine name in French…

    • Most name databases I checked when I was creating the character indicated that the name was unisex and the French version of both Patrick and Patricia. I also read references where it was entirely a male name in France. That being said, her mother is French and her father is English — so I consider it a name that probably appeared in both of their families and it was one they could agree on. And I’m not overly attached to the idea that any name is gendered. I grew up with a girl named Wesley.

  8. So Harry Potter isn’t one of my usual fandoms, but I saw this over on Quantum Bang and having loved many of your other stories, I decided to give this one a shot and I did not regret a moment of it! Then it occurred to me to check if you’d written anything else for Harry Potter because I’m definitely enjoying your contributions, and suffice it to say, I’ve spent the last couple of weeks very, very entertained. Thank you!

  9. Thank you so much!
I come back often to read your HP Fanfic, because they are so well written and so enjoyable.
This though is the first time I have listened to your Podcast on this Story.
It was such fun to see the process of the making of…

  10. Zir will always be Hugh Dancy in my mind now. Perfect casting. I love everything about this story.

  11. Excellent Story!
    I enjoyed it.
    Thanks for writing.

  12. Fantastic story, thank you. I really enjoyed it.
