May 2017 Newsletter

I forgot to do a newsletter in April. Oops? I was knee deep in the RT challenge, and I did meet my word count goal for the month even if I didn’t actually finish the project. I’m about three chapters and an epilogue from finished so I’m pretty pleased with my progress since I’d been blocked on that particular story for more than a year. Darkly Loyal will remain on RT through the end of the month then it will be removed to make room for the next challenge on the site. I don’t know when it will be completed and appear in its final form on my site. Don’t ask!

I’ll be picking out topics for radio shows for the rest of the summer so if you have ideas — go to the Ask Me Anything page and let me know.

New Fiction

Works in Progress

  • The next part in the Hold My Coffee series, Damage Control, is in beta. I’ve also updated the series page with two new character pictures.
  • I don’t know if I announced it over here (and I’m too lazy to look), but you can currently read my work in progress, Phoenix, on the Wild Hare Project.

In my spare time, I write fanfiction and lead a cult of cock worshippers on the Internet. It's not the usual kind of hobby for a 40ish "domestic engineer" but we live in a modern world and I like fucking with people's expectations.

  1. Been a while since I had a chance to check back in and oh my gosh, I love the new site! It’s so graceful and elegant! Super happy that you’ve written so much; I have no idea how you do it. Thanks so much!

  2. I would say you knocked Darkly Loyal out of the park. It’s been such an interesting read. Very much enjoying Hold My Coffee. Can’t wait for the next installment. Thank you for all that you do!

  3. Just caught up on Phoenix. Outstanding, ma’am, absolutely, utterly outstanding!

Darkly Loyal has been pretty intense, and each chapter pours it on a little more! It makes the Hold My Coffee series look like a sweet dance in an old musical in comparison! (I was just watching The Band Wagon and there’s a “Dance in the Dark” between Fred Astaire and Cyd Charisse that made me think of John/Meredith for some reason–maybe because they start out just walking together as friends and equals and by the end of the dance, they’re in love.)

I was fascinated in your comment (on another post) about how you had to tone down the John in Hold My Coffee, and I can see why you did it: somehow two guys can bitch on one another in a way that doesn’t work as well with a male/female pair. I think you hit a good level of “banter” between Meredith and John that might be too “soft” for John/Rodney–it’s a really interesting idea that I’m going to be on the watch for in future stories.

Anyway: thanks for writing! So much fun to read!

  5. Darkly Loyal has been an interesting read and the reason for people timely demise makes a lot of sense. I enjoy all your HP stories and the richness you bring to each chapter.

Not too familiar with the other fandoms you write for but it’s making me curious to check them out 🙂
