One Million Words

Reading Time: <1 Minutes

It is my goal to reach 1 Million Words by the end of the week ;-).

The Celebration has already begun here:

This weekend I’m hoping to host a mini-drabble thon with everyone on the Different Roads LJ. I thought I would go through my fic and find my favorite lines and offer them up as prompts. If you have a favorite line you think would make a great prompt– feel free to suggest it.

Happy Frakking Monday!

Keira Marcos

In my spare time, I write fanfiction and lead a cult of cock worshippers on the Internet. It's not the usual kind of hobby for a 40ish "domestic engineer" but we live in a modern world and I like fucking with people's expectations.

  1. There are so many great lines in your stories that my favorite changes all the time.Today I have been rereading Tangled Destinies and at the moment I’m in love with the line “Do you know how much bullshit it takes to make even a half-Vulcan livid?”
Also can you say what the millionth word is going to be part of or is going to be a surprise?

  2. I love this line and I would really like to see the story behind this-

“They sent medical supplies, food, and equipment out immediately after she finished berating them and implying that they were of a poorer moral fiber than even the Ferengi,” Spock admitted. “Nearly seventy percent of the settlement survived due to her efforts, among them the Chieftain’s wife—she bore a female child later that year and she was named T’Amana after my mother.

  3. This sounds like it will be lots of fun. Cool.

And maybe the answer to a lot of really odd questions.

  4. Favorite lines of all time from WMHB-
“Open those eyes and look at me,” John ordered. “Watch the man who’s fucking you.”
Rodney’s eyes snapped open in shock at the tone… the demand and how sexy it was. John’s dog tags dangled and struck Rodney’s chest with each thrust of his body—the black noiseguards preventing any sort of damage but reminding him with each gentle thunk that who exactly he was in bed with.

And if you are taking suggestions for drabbles and ideas, like John’s POV from meeting Rodney, I have always liked this part of your story. Remember when John is reaming out the French chick from the IOA? He’s telling her what it is about McKay that she apparently just doesn’t get. He says:

“…and can demonstrate the power of the star on a napkin while we wait for appetizers with math so eloquent it might as well be poetry. ”

Did they wait for the entree? or just leave early?

Congratulations Keira on your millionth word, and I love that it will be “John”.
I’m so happy to have discovered you and your work. You bring joy to my very ordinary life. Bless you and here’s to the next million 🙂
    Hugs, Hxx
