June 2016 Newsletter

I wanted to drop a note about my podcast and give sincere thanks to those of you who listen to the show either live or from the archive later. The traffic adds up and allows the show to pay for itself in advertising dollars. Any other funds get cycled back into the site for hosting and plug-ins which can add up when it comes to paid features and the like (boring stuff). Anyways, thanks for listening and please keep checking out my special brand of crazy.

I did a little beta work for Jilly’s NCIS Big Bang entitled “Memories“. You should check it out.

Works In Progress

Since I was prepping for the next RT challenge, doing the beta work for Courting Hermione, and doing a few shows, I really didn’t make a lot of progress current works in progress. I’m pretty confident that the Unspeakable Plot is going to be my Mulligan Challenge for RT in April provided I get to a good place by the time signups come around.

Keira Marcos

In my spare time, I write fanfiction and lead a cult of cock worshippers on the Internet. It's not the usual kind of hobby for a 40ish "domestic engineer" but we live in a modern world and I like fucking with people's expectations.

  1. Oh – the Little Black Dress Challenge – I am really really looking forward to this challenge. I toyed with the idea of signing up, but I took a long look at my RL schedule – and the ten day business trip overseas smack dab in the middle of July (complete with 16 hour days on the *short* days) – and ultimately decided there was no way I could keep up with the writing/posting.

I got as far as choosing fandoms and have one story idea pretty firm and two others that are kinda percolating. When things calm down in the fall I hope to have the time to develop them further. So thank you for the inspiration even if I can’t take part in the challenge itself!

I also tend to listen to your radio show after-the-fact (for the simple reason I am usually asleep by the time you begin). I love the glimpsed of insight into your “brand of crazy.”

Thank you – your work has been a great source of entertainment for me – I love the way you craft a story.

  2. Thank you for the update and I’m so excited about Rough Trade.

I’m not sure if you have any idea of how much your own writing and the writing you facilitate actually means to people, especially those of us with health problems who sometimes struggle to cope with daily life, let alone the crap the world throws at us.

My thanks are sincerely meant and my appreciation of you and your work is immense.

    Thank you

  3. I’m excited to see you extend your Sentinel verse. The Sentinel truly works with every fandom. Have you ever thought about the Dragonriders of Pern? I haven’t seen too many crossover with it but it works everywhere too.

    • I would actually have to read the Dragonriders of Pern in order to participate in that particular challenge. LOL. I think I might have read the first book about 30 years ago.

  4. Thank you for mentioning that the podcasts help contribute to site expenses, I’ve been leery of listening to them due to bandwidth issues that have come up before.  As always, I enjoy everything you do to make this site (and most especially your stories) accessible to us.

    • I don’t host the shows myself–they’re hosted by BlogTalkRadio. So they don’t they don’t impact my bandwidth at all. 🙂 Thanks for looking out though!

  5. “I hate several weasleys” lol

  6. Was listening to your What if James Potter podcast earlier and it made me think. Someday I would like to see an author write about the Potters being immune to the killing curse as a side effect of Ignotius getting the cloak. They may even not know it has this effect because realistically how many people get hit with this curse. It is very possible Harry was the first Potter to get hit with it. And Dumbledore would get it wrong of course, the power of love being a nuch more logical reason (Lily being the only one with this great capacity for love so Harry being the only survivor).

After all Ignotius asked for a way to hide from death…

  7. Every time Rough Trade rolls around, I get excited because I know I’ll find a new author!  I discovered Jilly James that way, and I’m sure there will be soemone this time.  I’ve already scanned through the project files, so I am ready!

  8. Forgot to mention – love the Plot Drift podcasts!

  9. I really enjoy your newsletter and seeing where you stand on your writing. I was so happy to see that The Unspeakable Plot may be your RT for April–I love Harry/Hermione/Draco triad stories!
