I’m super bored and one of the ways I clear my head so I can concentrate and write is to play games. I started the 100 Baby Challenge on Discord but I’ll be trying streaming on Twitch today. Podcasts, the Quantum Bang, & July Rough Trade
I’ve completed my migration to a Castbox which will be my host from now on. They have their own distribution app on various app stores so it should be no problem at all to find me and subscribe on your phone if that’s how you pick up podcasts. I’ve separated into two channels — one for regular shows and another for podfics. I only have two but I thought it would be cool to offer a channel just for that.

Reading Time: 1 Minutes I’ve learned over the last week or so that Blogtalk held my hand A LOT on the podcast front. I’m super annoyed by the whole learning curve that I’ve just hit when it comes to podcast creation as a result. For someone who has over 300 podcasts under her belt, I feel kind of dumb regarding the whole process now that I’ve left Blogtalk. I’m working on a new hosting situation and I have all of my content saved. Currently, you can download the content from Castbox and Spreaker. I can’t say when that will change so make sure to snag anything you find useful and if you need a particular episode you can’t find just let me know and I’ll figure out someway to get it to you. The files are kind of huge, so yeah. Anyways, I’m working through it and there will be a solution one way or another before we hit another Rough Trade. I’m going to do everything I can to avoid going back to Blogtalk so just bear with me on that front. I’ve been fucking around with a few ideas for the new year both for writing and for other stuff in regards to my site and Rough Trade. I announced the July challenge for Rough Trade which you can check out here. I’m looking forward to it. My mood is improving and I’ve been writing which is good. I’ve only picked out two projects to share on Evil Author Day but I’m still looking through my stuff to see what else might be viable.
The Yellow Brick Road
As we approach another NaNoWriMo and people set up their projects on Rough Trade, it is inevitable that new readers will stumble upon the site and join. Most often, they’ve strolled into RT from fandom. They’ve followed a favorite writer, or they saw the sign-up, or they saw a recommendation on some site regarding a previous story, and they’re looking for it. We’ve had about 500 people join RT since October 1, 2016.

Why I ask for Support
Reading Time: 1 MinutesSo I got this cunty email that basically demanded to know why I would ask for financial support to run sites that I keep private. First, new memberships on Rough Trade are not moderated but there have been some people who behaved badly. Have I kicked someone off who donated in the past? I doubt it but if I did membership is free and terrible behavior has consequences. Memberships on my main site are moderated but I’ve yet to reject a single applicant (beyond the ones I already banned). Second, between Rough Trade and this site — I average just over 8 thousand individual user hits a day. This takes bandwidth. One reason I haven’t added ebooks lately is that those downloads take bandwidth, too. I started hosting the chat off site in order to give the site more bandwidth so people would stop complaining about the load time being so long. Third, never once have I come close to suggesting that I was holding my work hostage for donations or feedback or anything else of the sort. If it offends you that I can’t afford to provide these sites for YOUR entertainment without help — fuck off elsewhere. I signed a contract and agreed to publish “Fall for You” for the sole purpose of funding this hobby. Reading Time: 1 MinutesMany of you apparently aren’t aware of what Rough Trade is… despite the fact that I have a whole page on that site dedicated to explaining it. Rough Trade is a writing challenge site of which we have 3 challenges a year (currently). During a challenge, participants post their daily work to their project in a very rough, unedited form. That’s what I did in November for Unspeakable Plot. Since we had time until the next challenge (April), I continued to post after the challenge was finished. HOWEVER, we’re gearing up for the next challenge and had to clean off the site. My work, just like everyone else’s on the site is gone from the site now. My work will remain off line until I’ve finished the rough draft and started the beta process. That’s how I work and that’s how it’s going to be. No amount of complaining is going to change that. Author’s Note: Harry Potter & The Soulmate Bond
Reading Time: 1 MinutesI’m posting episode 16 of the series at midnight tonight. I’ve attached the following warning to it: This chapter contains group nudity, public sexual intercourse, ritual sex magic, a near ritual sacrifice, graphic imagery, emotional trauma, and the deaths of multiple canon but not major characters (no one you love will die–probably–I mean, unless you’re fond of unrepentant Death Eaters). The events in this episode are not explicit in nature but I do hope that you’ll take my warnings very seriously. The public sex is consensual but the situation the characters face is not. They’re all forced to participate in the ritual itself. In that way, it might take on a dub-con light but it didn’t feel that way when I wrote it. So, keep that in mind. This was causing problems with some people’s bars so I’ve removed it. Hopefully it will clear up some of the issues with loading and using the chatroom. I didn’t find a viable instant messaging system that would work well with the Skysa Bar (our chat bar at the bottom) so I installed a Private messaging system instead. You’ll receive an email if you have a private message pending and there is also a link on the Skysa Bar: The section labeled Minion Headquarters contains the chatroom, translation options, and a Print Friendly button for posts that will also create PDFs for you.
